The Deputy Energy Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Afigya Kwabre North Constituency, Hon. Collins Adomako-Mensah, joined the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Kakari Achamfour, on November 28, 2024, to commission a state-of-the-art emergency services building. The facility will serve as a centralized hub for the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Fire Service, and Ambulance Service in the Ashanti Region.
Described by the Regional Administrator of NADMO as a first-of-its-kind initiative in the region, the new structure is set to enhance the delivery of emergency response services.
In addition to the commissioning, Hon. Adomako-Mensah donated 500 dual desks to the Education Directorate for distribution to various schools within the constituency. This contribution reaffirms his commitment to improving education infrastructure.
Later in the day, the MP visited Oyera, where significant progress has been made on an electricity extension project. Residents expressed joy as all electricity poles have been mounted, with transformers and other equipment set to be installed in the coming days. The community eagerly anticipates the official commissioning of the project, which marks a milestone in local development.
Residents of Oyera expressed their gratitude and pledged their support for Hon. Adomako-Mensah in the upcoming elections.
