The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has called on passport applicants who made payments before April 1, 2024, but have not yet completed their biometric capture, to visit their selected Passport Application Centres (PACs) and complete the process by October 18, 2024.
This is contained in a release dated 18th September 2024,
“Passport applications submitted under the previous fees of GHC100 and GHC150 will be invalid after this deadline. This follows an upward revision in passport fees, in line with the Fees and Charges (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations, 2023 (L.I 2481), which came into effect on April 1, 2024,” the release said.
The updated fees are GHC500 for a 32-page passport and GHC644 for a 48-page passport, with expedited services now costing GHC800.
“Applicants are advised to act swiftly to avoid their applications being invalidated,” it added.
