The Police have asked the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and all other participants of the ‘Enough is Enough’ demonstration to comply with the rules and regulations governing protests.
The Polie said this while announcing the routes for the protest today Tuesday, September 17.
“Any person taking part in a special event shall conduct himself in such a manner as to avoid causing confusion, disorder, or the obstruction of traffic. The organizers have also been informed of their duty to abide by all other laws since they will be held responsible for any breaches.
“We would like to urge the organizers and all participants in the demonstration to adhere to these arrangements and ensure full compliance with all laws and regulations.
“We would also like to once again assure the public that the Police will ensure the maintenance of security, law, and order throughout the period of the exercise and beyond,” a statement issued by the Police said.
The ‘Enough is Enough’ demonstration by the NDC is against the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
The party believes the voter register for the 2024 elections is full of inaccuracies and possibly bloated to favour a political party.
