Leader and Presidential candidate of the Movement for Change, John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has said that given that the majority of Ghanaians are Christians, they must choose a Christian as President during this year’s General Elections.
Mr Kyerematen stressed that it is the duty of every Christian to ensure that a Christian and Christlike person becomes President after the 2024 Presidential Election.
Mr Kyerematen, a Christian himself, who recently broke away from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after losing the flagbearership slot to Dr Bawumia, minced no words in playing the religious card to his favour in his address to a congratulation.
“So as a predominantly Christian nation, as Christians it is our responsibility to ensure that we elect a Christian leader who is also a Christlike leader,” he said.
His comments have been understood to be targeted at the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who is a Muslim and a front runner in the race to the Presidency.
