Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has commended striker Jordan Ayew following his recognition as the club’s cinch Player of the Month for February.
Ayew secured over 54% of the votes, clinching his second cinch Player of the Month award of the season, having previously won in August.
In the recent 3-0 victory against Burnley, Ayew marked his 200th appearance for Crystal Palace with a goal and an assist, elevating his season’s tally to 10 goal contributions.
This standout display arrived shortly after his striking goal against Everton, a contender for Premier League Goal of the Month.
Ayew triumphed over competition from new arrival Adam Wharton and four other nominees to secure the February accolade, which was presented to him by his teammates this week.
Manager Oliver Glasner expressed his satisfaction with Ayew’s achievement, emphasizing his importance to the team: “He’s a remarkable player and a vital presence for us. His wealth of experience and quality make him deserving of this recognition.”
Glasner, who assumed the managerial role from Roy Hodgson, has been impressed by Ayew’s consistent performances and anticipates further contributions from the forward in the forthcoming fixtures.
