Reports about Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s failed attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual surfaced online some hours.
The reports have set the Ghanaian social media space agog as many netizens cannot believe that despite the tireless effort the media personality put in she could not break the record.
Many others have also applauded her and described her a heroine not withstanding the outcome because she out did herself during the sing-a-thon.
Amid the mixed reactions, Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur, Lydia Forson has taken to social media to reveal her Afua inspired many people with her attempt.
She also mentioned that the failed attempt should not discourage Afua and cited the current record holder as a good example for Afua.
Lydia mentioned that it is public knowledge that he failed at his first attempt but got it for the second time so Afua should try and do same.
The Guiness World Records via a response to a postbon Xfinally announced their verdict on Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s attempt to break the world record for the longest singing marathon by an individual and it was not many Ghanaians wanted.
The Ghanaian media personality began singing on 24 December 2023, at Akwaaba village, located in Accra, Ghana.
She ended her attempted on 29 December 2023, after having sung for 126 hours and 52 minutes.
Her attempt was to break the world record mark of 105 hour mark set by India’s Sunil Waghmare in 2012.
