Self-acclaimed dancehall king Shatta Wale has said that the last chance God gave Ghanaians was his feature with celebrated American, Beyonce.
Shatta Wale claims the collaboration between Stonebwoy and Rihana and that of Sarkodie and Jay Z can never be possible.
Speaking in an interview on 3Music TV monitored by Ghbase, the “Ayoo” hitmaker said that he does not understand why Ghanaians would say that Nigerian musicians are doing better than Ghanaian musicians.
According to Shatta Wale, God gave the chance to Nigerian and Ghanaian musicians, but they did not value that chance.
Shatta Wale claims his collaboration with Beyonce was a chance Ghanaians should have grabbed, but because it was him, Ghanaians did not support it.
He noted that if it were Sarkodie who got that chance, Ghanaians would have gone all out to support him.
To him, his collaboration with Beyonce is the last chance Ghanaians got from God, so, no musician should be in anticipation of having a great collaboration like he and Beyonce.
“When people are talking about Nigeria, I don’t want them to continue because I feel like Ghana got their chance. Let me tell you, the last chance God gave us was Shatta Wale featuring Beyonce. But you see, we want to watch the coat man; we want somebody like Sarkodie” Shatta Wale said
“How many people even wish for Sarkodie to do a song with Jay Z? I pray Jay Z will just do it for him before the world comes to an end. That is the wish of all industry players for Sarkodie”, he added.
He also advised Sarkodie that “It is not about behaving like Jay Z, but rather how real are you to the universe? Are you connecting yourself? Are you listening to what God is saying? People are not doing that; God gave us that last shot.”
