In a determined effort to uphold the integrity of the education system, the Dormaa Central Municipal Director of Education in the Bono region, Rev. Father Kingsley Dwamena Asante, has declared an unwavering commitment to eradicating examination malpractice from the Dormaa Ahenkro branch of the Ghana Education Service. Collaborating with stakeholders within the education sector, the municipal education director aims to provide a secure environment for students to protect their external examination results.
In an interview with reporters, Rev. Father Kingsley Dwamena Asante highlighted the rigorous measures being implemented to combat examination malpractice within the municipality. One key initiative involves ensuring the deployment of qualified examiners to all circuit centers, providing teachers and learners with essential guidelines and approaches to answering examination questions. This strategic move is anticipated to significantly reduce the incidence of examination malpractice in the area.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Municipal Education Directorate, Mr. Michael Ignatius Anaisie, emphasized the importance of instilling discipline among students. He revealed that the Ghana Education Service Council has established a comprehensive code of conduct for pre-tertiary level students, outlining measures and standards to enforce discipline in schools.
Any breach of these regulations, such as truancy, refusal to attend assemblies, loitering, and examination malpractice, will result in severe punishments, serving as a deterrent to others.
This concerted effort by the Dormaa Central Municipal Education Directorate reflects a commitment to fostering a fair and ethical educational environment, ensuring that students’ achievements are a true reflection of their knowledge and abilities.
