Security analyst Mr. Anthony voiced apprehensions today regarding the withdrawal of Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso from ECOWAS, emphasizing the potential impact on Ghana’s security.

In a surprising move, led by juntas, Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso have officially withdrawn from ECOWAS, expressing dissatisfaction with the organization’s handling of terrorism and insecurity.

Colonel Amadou Abdramane, spokesperson for the Niger junta, conveyed the disappointment, citing a departure from Pan-African ideals.

Mr. Anthony, speaking on Genesis Radio, expressed concerns about the severed ties leading to a lapse in shared security information among these nations.

He urged the disengaged countries to reconsider rejoining ECOWAS for the sake of regional stability.
