In a recent transfer move, former Asante Kotoko Sporting Club striker Franck Etouga Mbella has secured a loan deal to El Gouna, departing from Egyptian side Al Masry Sporting Club until the conclusion of the season.
Known for his significant contributions during his tenure with Asante Kotoko, Mbella emerged as the club’s all-time top scorer in the Ghana Premier League, notching twenty-one goals in the 2021/22 season under the guidance of coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum. His pivotal role played a crucial part in Asante Kotoko clinching their 26th Ghana Premier League title.
Following the 2021/22 football season, Franck Etouga Mbella Thierry embarked on a three-year deal with Egyptian outfit Al Masry Sporting Club, completing the transfer from Asante Kotoko for a reported fee of approximately three hundred thousand dollars.
During his time in Egypt, Franck Thierry Etouga Mbella has showcased his prowess, tallying two goals in fourteen matches for Al Masry Sporting Club across various competitions since his arrival in September 2022.
Prior to his stint with Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Franck Thierry Etouga Mbella honed his skills at Nkufo Academy and AS Fortuna de Mfou in Cameroon.
