Libya Premier League outfit Al-Nasr SC has officially confirmed the acquisition of Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah from Medeama Sporting Club. The 25-year-old, who recently represented the Black Stars at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, joins Al-Nasr SC after an impactful stint with Medeama.
While Sowah was part of the Black Stars squad during the AFCON tournament, he did not make an appearance as the team faced an early exit in the first round without securing a win. The Libyan club, Al-Nasr SC, took to social media to announce the signing, however, the duration of the contract remains undisclosed.
In their announcement on social media, Al-Nasr SC shared a philosophical perspective, stating, “The most important condition of mind games is to avoid thinking about the game itself; it is natural that your main goal is just a taste, to forget the real main goal. Jonathan Sowah, welcome to the castle of men.”
Jonathan Sowah played a pivotal role for Medeama Sporting Club, contributing significantly to their success, including leading the team to their first Ghana Premier League title in the previous season. Additionally, he played a key part in Medeama’s debut appearance in the CAF Champions League, guiding the club to the group stages in their inaugural attempt.
