In anticipation of the upcoming general elections in 2024, the Ghana Police Service is diligently preparing for the crucial event, as highlighted by the Director of the Public Affairs Directorate, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi.
According to a report by citinewsroom.com, ACP Ansah-Akrofi stated that the police personnel are currently undergoing thorough training to ensure their readiness for the electoral process.
In an interview, ACP Ansah-Akrofi emphasized the collaborative efforts of the Ghana Police Service with other security agencies to guarantee a peaceful, free, and fair election.
She stated, “We are preparing vigorously towards the general elections…We are orienting our men, we are working with the other sister agencies. Enough personnel will be deployed.”
The Director of Public Affairs Directorate further explained that ahead of the elections, extensive engagement initiatives will be carried out across the country to align all stakeholders and ensure a harmonious electoral process.
