In a thrilling showdown, Offinso College of Education Demonstration Primary School (OCEDPS) has secured a spot in the semi-finals of the highly competitive Fish Fm MMOFRA MMERE Primary Quiz Competition. They achieved this remarkable feat by defeating the competition’s favorites, Boamang Maase D/A Primary School in the Afigya Kwabre North District.
The contest was nothing short of intense, pitting OCEDPS against Boamang Maase. OCEDPS showcased their knowledge prowess, securing 25 points, while Boamang Maase and Mpobi D/A Primary managed to secure 17 and 2 points, respectively.
In round 2, the Offinso team displayed their quick reflexes on the buzzer and exceptional listening skills, amassing 21 points. Boamang Maase and Mpobi, in comparison, scored 12 and 0 points, respectively. The accumulated points after round 2 stood at 46 for OCEDPS, 29 for Boamang Maase, and 2 for Mpobi D/A Primary.
The third round proved challenging, with no school achieving a perfect score in the true or false segment. Nonetheless, OCEDPS managed to secure 13 out of 20 points, further extending their lead to an impressive 59 points.
OCEDPS demonstrated their intellectual prowess once again in the critical thinking round, solving one first-clue and one second-clue riddle to earn 9 points. In contrast, Boamang Maase managed to answer two questions in the third-clue category.
With these results, it’s evident that Offinso Municipal is celebrating, as two schools from the area have advanced to the semi-finals, in contrast to the four from Afigya Kwabre North and three from Sekyere South. Afigya Kwabre South is yet to secure a victory.
